Magnetic Drive Pump Shaft
Description
In magnetic drive pumps, a spinning machine component (shaft) transmits power from one component to another. Shafts are typically circular in cross section and can be either solid or hollow.
Axial, bending, and torsional loads can be applied to rotating shafts in a variety of ways, and these loads may change over time. Considering this, the materials used for pumps should possess the following qualities to obtain a long lifespan and to minimize downtime:
- High strength
- Low-notch sensitivity factor
- Resistance to corrosion and wear
